About me

I am the coordinator and responsible teacher for the Team Leadership and HRM course (ME2063) at the Department of Industrial Economics and Management, where I'm also involved in Change Projects in Industrial Management (ME 2502) and the development of Master Theses projects. 

For the past five years, I have been part of a double Ph.D. program, funded by EU commission and hosted by the management departments at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. My Ph.D. thesis, “A Brave New Workplace: Disclosing the smart and the dark sides of the alternative office spaces,” was successfully defended in Sweden and Spain, and received the cum laude mention from the Spanish committee. 

My research revolves around the social and managerial implications of collaborative spaces in knowledge work organizations and interpolates insights coming from human geography, sociology of space, and socio-material perspectives. My work has been presented in several major conferences, including the Academy of Management, the European Group of Organization Studies, and the Strategic Management Society Special Conference on Human Capital. Most recently, I have started a new research project aimed at exploring how identities and expertise evolve in the digital workplace. 

Prior to starting my Ph.D., I worked for Deloitte and the Observatories on Digital Innovation at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. There, I collaborated with several ICT companies on improving their operations, market positioning, and channel effectiveness, and I was actively involved in studying and developing digital competences for managers and organizations.
