About me
Associate Professor Environmental Science
I work as researcher at KTH with a number of projects related to environmental science and policy. Two ongoing research projects concern public policies for climate change mitigation and biodiversity offsets. The former focuses on co-benefits of climate policy, e.g. improved air quality, and how such aspects better can be integrated into decision-making. The latter explores ethical aspects of biodiversity offsets and if and which limitations for offsetting are reasonable in policy contexts.
A recently finalised research project called "Mind the Gap - Delay Mechanisms and Goal Failures in Swedish Environmental Policy" focused on understanding and explaining how delay mechanisms in science and policy may impede the achievement of a set of central environmental policy objectives, for instance related to climate change and biodiversity. Popular information (in Swedish) about the project can be found at: http://www.extrakt.se/forskningsfragor/varfor-nar-inte-vetenskapen-fram-till-politiken/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=varfor-nar-inte-vetenskapen-fram-till-politiken
I moreover do research on marine environmental governance, e.g. on marine spatial planning, and on chemicals legislation.
