Shaomin Li
Shaomin joined Max’s group in Aug 2021 as a one-year visiting PhD student, supported by KTH-CSC program. He was awarded bachelor’s degree by Tsinghua University (THU) in mid 2018, since when he has been enrolled in full-time PhD study in THU. He is mainly working on developing nano-fabrication processes for metasurface-based infrared emitters, and is partially involved in designing such nano structures.

Prince Gupta
Prince joined Max's group in January 2022 as a postdoc. He is working on design and characterization of on-chip narrow-band mid-IR thermal emitter. He received his Master degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2010 and PhD in Physics from IIT Kanpur in 2018. Efter PhD study, he joined the Optics and Metamaterials research group in Yonsei University, South Korea, and later on NanoSYD at South Denmark University for postdoc studies. His research interest includes nanoplasmonics/metasurfaces based devices for sensing, light harvesting as well as therapeutics etc.

Yingzi Ying
Yingzi joined Max’s group in May 2022 as a research engineer. He received PhD in Acoustics from Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include computational acoustics & seismology and high-performance computing, for the studies of wave propagation and imaging. He is currently working on the numerical modelling of mechanical waves jointly governed by elastodynamics and piezoelectricity in micro scale to characterise the electro-mechanical performance of acoustic wave filters, which are widely used in telecommunication.
