Marcus Tavares Da Costa

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher working on the mechanics aspects of biocomposites. My work consists of understanding the strength-toughness balance of novel cellulose nanocomposites by exploring microstructures, weak interfaces, anisotropy, lamella thickness and stacking sequence. My competences and research interests are in finite element and micromechanical modelling, strength of materials, fracture mechanics and mechanical testing of materials.
