Linda Schenk

I study the regulation and management of chemicals and how various factors interact in the risk assessment and policy-making process. I am interested in all aspects of chemicals risk management, ranging from regulatory decisions and expert group judgement to the role of the individual’s behavior in order to reduce risks. The major focus of my work is on the management of risks associated to chemicals in the workplace, e.g. the setting of occupational exposure limits, the risk assessments performed to derive these limit values and the perception and communication of chemical risks at the workplace. I am also a senior reseracher at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Instiutet.
