Vamis Xhagjika
About me
I'm a PhD candidate finishing a joint degree program from the universities of: Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya UPC (Spain) and Royal Institute of Technology KTH (Sweden). His area of research is mainly focused on Distributed Computing and specifically multi-cloud locality based optimisations.
Collaborations include companies of the likes of Ericsson (cloud architectures for the future ISP and Telephony providers), and TokBox a Telefonica Company (distributed media cloud quality analysis and optimisations for WebRTC).
Passionate for innovation and discovery, with recognitions by international awards such as the Second Grand Prize winner of the Plantronics Global Innovation Contest 2015 conducted in 23 countries, evaluating innovative applications of wearable technologies. In the industry Vamis has a varied and extended experience. He was directly involved in various areas of software design and implementation including but limited to: VoIP software solutions, Game Development, Data Mining and Web Stack Development, as well as a Particle Accelerator Simulator for a High Energy Physics Laboratory.
