Economic sustainability – Green economy, sustainable markets, or business case for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)?
Guest Lecturer: Clara My Lernborg
Content: This lecture is intended to provide a basis for an understanding of what constitutes economic sustainability, how it relates to other forms of sustainability studied in the course, and ultimately how it may relate to ICT. Within business administration studies, there is a wide variety of perspectives on sustainability for business, and especially on sustainable markets, and you will gain an overview of different perspectives. You will also be presented with some of the business tools and practices that are used in order to promote [economic] sustainability.
About: Clara My Lernborg is currently a PhD Candidate at Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets at Stockholm School of Economics. She has a background in business and a long interest in development issues, and prior to enrolling in the PhD program, has experience of working with NGOs on issues such as Fairtrade marketing and micro-finance. Her PhD interest involves mainly the role of industry collaborations on organizing responsibility in markets, and she studies various tools and constellations that allow for such organizing.
