We received questions on how to open a set of vm files in the vm emulator, for example, to check what your linked list program does.  You can load a directory by clicking the directory symbol at the Program window. You will see the output of the linked list program in the large window (this should be set to Screen).

we have received several questions related to the obvious dependence of project 7 on project 6.

We do not provide a correct solution for project 6.

We hope that you can complete/correct your own project 6 solutions based on the discussions and explanations we had in class. You will also need this knowledge for the exam. If it is not the case, please write a note on the grading sheet if you think that your project 7 solution is correct, but could not be fully tested because of project 6 problems. We will grade the correctness of project 7, independently from project 6 results.

Error handling in the VM to ASM translation: your translator should detect syntax errors, such as invalid command name, wrong number of arguments, invalid segment name. You do not need to evaluate whether the index value is reasonable (though it is easy to check for some of the segments).

Seminar location, April 7: The location in the KTH Social schedule shows strange information now in the morning of April 7. The rooms are as before: B22,B23,B24. 

We have updated the Project 6 material a bit. The python files generated indentation error, now it is corrected.

Hi! Please see some changes and corrections in the Schedule. The important changes are these: earlier consultation on April 3, earlier seminar for group 2 on April 4, which also means that on april 4 all of you should submit the project by 6am.

Some of this information regarding the exam may not have reached you:

- you get the exam handbook (see what is it under Exam preparation) together with the exam problems. 

- you are allowed to bring an English-Swedish dictionary, if you think it may help.

- you get the problems both in English and in Swedish. You can answer in English of in Swedish. 

Exam registration: the exam is on Tuesday, so all of you who can take the exam should have registered by now. If you missed the registration deadline, please write to stex@ee.kth.se, they will register you.

Course evaluation and "kursnämnd": 

Please, do not forget to fill in the course evaluation, your input is greatly appreciated. Also, we are looking for 1-2 additional members for the kursnämnd, to meet after the exam, and discuss the results of the course evaluation, the exam, and other comments you have. Right now we have members from groups 3 and 4, so volunteers from groups 1 and 2 are most welcome.

I have to be at a meeting from 13 to 14, so we start the lecture at 14:15, and finish at 16:00. Same room as in the schedule, also same project deadline as for the other groups, that is, 11:00.  I hope this change is fine for most of you.

The groups will suffer some reorganization in the coming seminars, so please read this note carefully:

Group 3: Valentino is travelling, and therefore group 3 will be redistributed for seminar 6 on Tuesday April 28. Please find your temporal group under Groups, rooms.../Student list.

Group 1: starting from Seminar 7, on Monday, May 4, until the end of the  course, group 1 will be redistributed among the other groups. Please find your temporal group under Groups, rooms.../Student list.

I see many of you who are following the course are actually not registered. Note the process at KTH: fist you select a course (this may be automatic for you for compulsory courses), and then, when the course starts, you need to register via your "Personal Menu".

As I know, the deadline for registration may have passed now, in this case please talk to the STEX office (steax@ee.kth.se) , they will register you. Without registration you will not be able to take the exam.

Important message to Group 4: 

I am travelling on April 13, so group 4 members need to join other groups this time. Please find your group under "Groups, rooms ... / Student list" in the menu on the left. Do not forget to look for the right room in the schedule.

Please submit your project to the group leader of your temporal group, as well as to me.

Dear all, as you see, the make-up exam is coming on Friday, Aug. 22. The following still holds:

• You can take the make-up exam only if you have passed the projects.
• You need to register for the exam. If you can not register, please ask for help at stex@ee.kth.se.

You can take the make-up exam even if you passed the original one. The better result counts.

The make-up exam is in the same style as the original one, the grade is calculated the same way.
