Xiamo Zhou
About me
Xiamo Zhou graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. In the spring of 2012, she completed her bachelor thesis in KTH-STH (School of Technology and Health) within the topic of effect of temperature and laser stimulation of neuron activity as an exchange student. She then became a phD student in Micro and nanosystem (MST) in KTH, Royal Institute of Technology from 2013 August under the supervision of Prof. Wouter van der Wijngaart and Dr. Tommy Haraldsson. Her current research “Theracage” is aimed for polymeric cell encapsulation for localized tumor treatment using microfluidics. This project is in cooperation with CLINTEC, Karolinska Institutet, and the funding for which is provided by barncancerfonden, Sweden.
