This course develops themes that were introduced in AK2017 Introduction to research ethics. The focus is on problems that the students choose for their individual project tasks.
After the course the student should be able to describe and discuss research ethical problems in her own subject area independently. The student should also be able to provide a nuanced account of different possible approaches to specific problems, and should be able to analyze and discuss ethical arguments in relation to these different approaches.

Intended learning outcomes

Specific prerequisites
Higher education studies comprising 120 ECTS in the areas of natural sciences/technological sciences or equivalent. English proficiency equivalent to Swedish gymnasium English B.
Recommended prerequisites
AK2017 Introduction to Research Ethics, 3 credits, or equivalent/similar subject is recommended. Please note: a 1-2 credits ethics module included in some first cycle course, or in TaMoS, is not enough to count as equivalent to AK2017.
