Recent Advances in Cloud Computing

New achievements with a fundamental importance in the field of cloud computing will be evaluated in this graduate reading course. After introductory discussions, every participant should search for relevant research literature, work through it, give a presentation and actively contribute to the overall discussions as well as write a short report.

The research student should to be able to account for, discuss and analyze special literature within well-defined problem areas within cloud computing after the course.

Kursens huvudsakliga innehåll

Students will analyze and assess recent research literature from different areas in cloud computing. The results of the literature work will be presented to the course participants, discussed, and summarized in written reports.


Rekommenderade förkunskaper

A general interest in cloud computing as well as some contact to one of the subfields is helpful.



  • EXA1 - Examination, 5,0, betygsskala: P, F

The course will be assessed with Pass/Fail grade based on the successful presentation and the delivery of a scientifically sound report. From 3 to 5 hp will be given upon successful completion of the course.


3 points for

  • Approval of reading list
  • Delivery of seminar presentation
  • Attendance to at least 3/4 of all seminars

2 additional points for

  • Delivery of a scientific paper.
