Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course consists of the assignment to design and accomplish a small research project in the field of real estate planning. During the course, the participants shall use existing theories and previous research as starting points for the current topic. The choice and design of research method will be considered in some introductory seminars, and shall be justified by the participants. The investigation and the results shall be presented in a written essay or article of such quality that it is publishable in renowned scientific journals in the current field.

Intended learning outcomes

The comprehensive aim of the course is to provide advanced practical knowledge about the application of reasearch methods in the field of real estate planning.

Initiated post graduate studies in the disciplines of real estate planning, land law or real estate economics.

The literature consists, inter alia, of a textbook on applied research methodology. The textbook is decided and announced at least four weeks before course start.

As part of the course requirements, the participants shall also search relevant literature (articles, reports and books).
