Intended learning outcomes
Upon successfully completing the course the student should be able to
- Realize how energy politics is designed and what it is supposed to achieve
- Evaluate how certain politics affect the environment and the society
- Define global and national energy policy factors which promote sustainable energy systems
Course main content
Energy policy is analaysed in a perspective and in relation to changes in different agendas for example growth, environment and development. How is energy policy designed nationally and globally? Which are the consequences on the environment and society of certain energy policies? How can energy policies be utilized to promote growth and fight poverty?
Prerequisites: 45 ECTS from Masterprogram studies in energy, environment or similar areas
