The section Vehicle and Body NVH CAE is a part of the Noise and Vibration (NV) Centre in the Product Development area at Volvo Car Group. The NV Centre has the responsibility to ensure that the attribute Noise and Vibration is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within the CAE section we have the responsibility for both Vehicle, Body and Gas Exchange NVH CAE from a complete vehicle perspective in car programs and Advanced Engineering. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NV attribute in our cars.

As a Ph.D. Candidate, Aero-Acoustics of Compressors and Blowers your first five years of employment will be dedicated to the research in co-operation with the Royal Institute of Technology. After dissertation, the plan is that the Ph.D. will take on a strategically important role related to the area of expertise within Research & Development at Volvo Car Group in Gothenburg. As a research student you spend 80% of your time with your research and 20% with issues determined by Volvo Car Group.  To successfully accomplish the project, you should have very strong analytical skills, act independently and take initiatives.
