Call for abstracts – International Workshop on Walking and Heritage

Publicerad 2020-07-02

Do you conduct research on walking, trails and heritage? We are planning an anthology on this topic, where we will investigate the role of history in the creation and articulation of walking trails, and the potential of trails as cultural heritage. We believe that there is a need for a deepened discussion of how trails and walking relate to cultural heritage. The corona pandemic has made this all the more important.

Venue: To Be Announced

Dates: April 2021

Organisers: Daniel Svensson, Sverker Sörlin and Katarina Saltzman

If you would like to contribute, please send your abstract (max 300 words) by 31 August, 2020 to daniel.svensson@mau.se  and sorlin@kth.se .

Our plan is to organize a workshop in Sweden during the second half of April 2021, where we will meet and discuss our contributions and ideas. Ahead of the workshop we will ask all contributors to submit draft chapters as a base for discussion. We aim for publication in 2022.

If you are interested in contributing, we look forward to your reply and abstract no later than 31 August.
