Professor Blöschl was selected for the Stockholm Water Prize for his world-renowned work on flood risk reduction, water resource management, flood scaling, and regional process hydrology.

Günter Blöschl is a professor at the Vienna University of Technology, the current head of the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at the Vienna University of Technology, as well as the Director of the Doctoral Programme of Water Resources Systems at the Vienna University of Technology, that he founded more than 15 years ago, and a part time professor at the University of Bologna. 

In this seminar, Professor Günter Blöschl will be joined by:

  • Luigia Brandimarte, Associate Professor and Docent in Hydraulic Engineering at the Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Sciences and Engineering at KTH. 
  • Francesco Fuso-Nerini, Associate professor at the Division of Energy Systems, and director of the KTH Climate Action Centre at KTH.
  • Zahra Kalantari, Professor in Environmental Science and Engineering for Sustainability in the Anthropocene at KTH.
