Meet companies from around the world at THS Armada
On 23-24 November, it's time again for THS Armada, Scandinavia's largest career fair for students. At the fair, you will be able to meet some of the largest employers of engineers, such as ABB, Ericsson or SSAB.
THS Armada will, just like last year, be held in the form of a virtual fair, but with lounges in Nymble to get the feeling of a physical fair.
Hi Josefine Havdelin, project manager for Armada, what's new for this year?
"All contact with the companies takes place at event.armada.nu . Then we also invite all students to Nymble to get the full fair feeling. There will be coffee, CV help, photography, lovely lounge seats to go to the digital fair, goodie bags and more. What is new is simply to make a career fair that is feasible and safe regardless of pandemic mode, but at the same time preserve the feeling of the noise that fairs give. Even though the exchange of companies takes place on a digital platform, we recommend going with a friend."
"We also continue the success from last year with the Armada competition. By attending the fair and events before the fair, you can collect tickets. You then take part in a draw for great prices after the fair, such as an iPad, a stay at Yasuragi or pasta for an entire semester." says Josefine Havdelin.
Is there anything special you are looking forward to at this year's fair?
"I look forward to seeing students in Nymble together, discussing and going to the fair, doing the various activities that will be there, and seeing some life. I also look forward to watching the various live presentations from companies during the fair. Hearing companies make the ultimate pitch about why you should start working for them as a student or newly graduated."
"The fair has something for every student, no matter in what year you are. If you are at the beginning of your education, the focus is on the first meeting with the business and making contacts. Later years can start looking for degree projects, get help in choosing a master's programme or finding internships and mentoring programs. For those in your final year, there is an opportunity to start looking around for your first job as a recent graduate."
