Course contents

Concepts/tools and non-statistical and statistical methods for quality, risk management and continuous improvements

Intended learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student should be able to:

  • Argue for the importance of continuous improvements and create a working method for continuous improvements within an organisation
  • Explain methods and philosophies for improvements and compare applicability
  • To by means of statistical methods account for risk management and draw conclusions from risk analysis in quality assurance work
  • On the basis of a technical problem profile choose statistical method/tool for problem-solving and plan for implementation; carry out, analyse and draw conclusions about the results and argue for the choice and the conclusions
  • Communicate and explain statistical methods/tools/results and argue orally and in writing, in a clear way
  • Explain and argue for quality statistics and risk management's effect for an efficient and successful work for development of world-class processes
