You have the chance to apply to the first-ever Stockholm Student Academy, where you'll get to explore Swedish culture, society, and politics while receiving valuable career guidance. This is a unique opportunity to join an exclusive program and to meet other international students from different universities in Stockholm. A total of 250 seats will be filled with students from more than ten universities, of which 70 seats are reserved for KTH students.

The Stockholm Student Academy program will offer you a total of seven evening sessions, given every two weeks during the period from September to December. Attendance in all sessions is mandatory unless you get sick or another urgent matter comes up. You must attend 6 of the 7 sessions to receive the certificate.

In addition to the sessions, there are extracurricular activities such as museum visits, guided tours, art exhibitions, excursions and more to give you an even better understanding of all things Swedish. You will receive information about times and dates later if you are accepted to the program.

Program overview

The program will be divided into four blocks with distinct themes and lectures:

  1. Set the stage: Explore your new cultural and historical context
  2. Swedish society: Learn the keys to thriving in and contributing to society
  3. Enter the ecosystem: Understand and navigate Stockholm's vibrant ecosystem
  4. Your career: Prepare yourself for a successful recruitment and start to your career

Information on the lectures, the content and the presenters will be provided in a course program that will be given to all participants at the beginning of the semester, before the first session. The program will offer you a career fair and recruitment event, and we will share more info on these opportunities as soon as the dates are set.
