Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The contents of the course consists of a joint introduction and a continuous instruction in design, construction and concrete representation of technical and scientific forms of expression. The joint introduction includes library information, search practices and systems of reference. The course primarily supports the development of technical and scientific representations through hand on events and concrete contextualizations. 

Intended learning outcomes

After the completed course the student will be able to:

  • to apply general rules and principles of design for rhetoric and oral presentation
  • to use written language as documentation and problem solving processes
  • to understand the basic outline of a technical report and the principles of design, construction and representation of written texts
  • to construct and contextualize a scientific text with specific regard to audience adaptation
  • to apply the basic insights in technical and scientific representation in a report.
