EH2030 Business Development and Quality Management 7.5 credits
Verksamhetsutveckling och kvalitet
The course provides an insight to how companies and other organizations of today work with business development and quality management. Improvement concepts like Lean and Six Sigma, quality frameworks like EFQM and ISO9000 and a selection of the most commonly used quality tools are included in the course. Guest lectures and the final project performed in cooperation with a real company give the course a clear industrial connection.

Learning outcomes
The overall aim of this course is to offer a basic understanding on how companies and other organizations work today with quality management. Knowledge about commonly used tools and methods is presented.
Upon completion of this course participants shall:
- have gained an understanding about the importance of and possibilities with quality and business development
- be able to take part in a company’s quality activities and identify necessary tools and methods
be able to use basic tools and methods commonly used when improving and developing an organization.

For single course students: 120 credits and documented proficiency in English B or equivalent

As the main part of the course is examined through report writing and active participation in seminars, good English in speech and writing is recommended.
