Intended learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:
- reflect upon and discuss the central concepts, theories and research results in a selection of key texts in the history of technology; and
- apply and criticize some of these concepts, theories and results.

Eligible applicants are those who fulfill the entry requirements for doctoral studies in the history of science, technology and environment.

The student selects, in consultation with the teacher and on the basis of a longer list, a number of texts in the history of technology. The longer list will be continuously updated on the basis of input from researchers and teachers at the Division.
Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- UPP1 - Essay, 7.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
