Learning outcomes
Provide comprehensive knowledge of: Visualization and presentation tools in 2D and 3D
Course main content
This course will provide an overview of visualization tools basic skills in drawing and visualization tools in 3D and 2D, and guidance on how to present results in text and images using the text editor Indesign. The course also provides instruction in sketching techniques.
Workshop with featured role in the Design and Product
Upon completion of the course, students are assessed on their proficiency in surface modeling and in their presentation and accounting techniques.
The course focuses around project work which will be assessed by oral presentation.
Disposition
The course is offered in parallel with the Bachelor course Design and Product Development, Industrial Design, MF116x with lectures, briefings and training in computer programs. Each student will produce a poster and a brochure, to be presented in a group session at the end of the course. Exercises in sketching techniques are given in parallel with the course in life drawing for MF116x
The course uses an industry-related task that is rehearsed in workshops, shared with students in MF116x.

Admitted to the Master TIPDM, track Industrial Design Engineering, IPDA
Literature
Surfacing in 3D, Rhino version 3.0 or later
Visualization Software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign

Presentations are an educational element with mandatory attendance.

Approved assignments and project work
Compulsory attendance of 75% of the lectures and all CAD exercises
