A new electron and laser beam platform for industry accessibility
For companies assessing electron- and laser- beam technologies, or new materials or material powders to use with these technologies, this platform will provide equipment and user support for in operando experiments at the Swedish Materials Science beamline
Streamlining research using simultaneous SAXS and WAXS measurements
The Swedish Materials Science beamline has a world-leading instrument setup for simultaneous SAXS and WAXS measurements. This capability enables a fuller characterisation of materials composed of various phases and different sizes e.g. temporal information about phase and precipitate formations and their dynamic interactions.
A new station for heavy duty sample environments
This project will design a roll-in station, and procure equipment, for enabling experiments using larger and bulkier sample environments at the Swedish Materials Science beamline.
PETRA IV prestudy
There are plans to upgrade the PETRA synchrotron to PETRA IV. A prestudy is ongoing to assess the impact of the planned upgrade on the Swedish Materials Science beamline - including the opportunity for a state-of-the-art X-ray microscopy instrument for experiments at the nano scale in bulk materials and devices.
