SIWI Junior Water Prize finalists visit KTH 31th August.

WaterCentre@KTH was happy to yet again be able to welcome the SIWI Junior Water Prize finalists to Campus.
After an introduction to KTH by Stefan Östlund, vice rector for global relations and Eileen Torres Morales, student ambassador, the young finalists got energised by Donnie SC Lygonis, innovation strategist at KTH Innovation. After an inspirational meeting with Mattias Wiggberg, the very first SIWI Junior Water Prize winner, who shared which impact the prize had on his decision to become a researcher at KTH, the finalists got to visit different KTH labs. The researchers enjoyed meeting all these young talents with interesting water projects from all over the world.

This year’s winner was Annabelle Rayson, Canada, with her project Plankton wars: An Innovative Analysis of Daphnia Genotype Biomanipulations for Algae Bloom Prevention .
