Retrout aims to develop sustainable and efficient management methods for the sea trout in the Baltic Sea Region with thematic expertise from several research institutes and project partners in river restoration, tourism development, fishery and ecosystem service management. It aims to strengthen the governance framework for fishing tourism in the Region and will provide guidance in the form of toolboxes that can be eventually used by authorities. Nandita Singh is the project leader from KTH and she looks forward to her key role in the project. She is responsible for providing research support in the evaluation of a number of river restoration projects in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. The research findings will help in development of a tool box for river restoration from fishing tourism perspective in the future.
