Collaborations with student organisations

Students at manifestation, at Fulufjället and at KTH Climate Action Centre

Are you a student looking to get involved with fellow students at KTH, making new friends while engaging in activities related to climate and sustainability? Have a look at the exciting regular activities offered by our collaborating student organisations.

As we all know, student life doesn't begin and end with scheduled lectures and seminars. Getting together with like-minded peers to focus on activities of joint interest is an important part of education and forming lasting memories and connections. This is why we have active collaborations with student organisations, who regularly meet at the Climate Action House to play climate related board games, have materials re-use workshops, go for forest excursions, or discuss how engineering skills can be used to benefit vulnerable communities.

Below is a list of student organizations that regularly host meetings or events in our building, and are happy to hear from potential new members.

The goal of Students for Sustainability is to be a platform and a community for students from around KTH interested in all things Sustainability. Meet them at the Climate Action Centre every other Thursday for free coffee and fika at their Project Cafes, where they discuss Sustainability and plan upcoming activities.

Throughout the year, the Students for Sustainability organise workshops and seminars, invite guest lecturers and host social events as well as trips. They collaborate with other organisations at both KTH and universities around Sweden with the goal of strengthening the community for students interested in sustainability and climate action.

The KTH Africa Student Community

Meeting with the KTH Africa Student Community
Meeting with the KTH Africa Student Community.

The KTH Africa Student Community is a network of African Students at KTH and exchange students to African Universities, dedicated to fostering connections, collaboration, and cultural exchange. The community serves as a support system for students navigating academic life in KTH while celebrating Africa’s rich diversity and heritage. Whether you’re looking for academic guidance, professional networking, or simply a home away from home, this is the place to connect, grow, and thrive together.

The community aims to be vibrant, and to create an inclusive space where members can engage in social events, mentorship programs, career development sessions, and discussions on Africa’s role in global innovation and sustainability. Through networking opportunities, collaborations with industry leaders, and cultural celebrations, they empower students to make the most of their experience at KTH while building lifelong connections.

The KTH Africa Student Community meets at the Climate Action Centre two Fridays a month.
