What happens when a handful of climate researchers find themselves in a group-therapy session, confronted with their own emotions? This is the topic of the film Climate in Therapy by Nathan Grossman which opened in theatres last fall. It turns out they have to balance much more than just their own feelings in relation to their research. The film invites us to think about how to combine the integrity of science, service to society and facing the climate crisis in your daily job.

This screening is open to all, especially faculty and students, and is followed by a panel discussion with three climate scholars with different backgrounds.

Kevin Noone  is professor emeritus of environmental science at Stockholm University and member of Researchers' Desk . He was also a participant in Riksteatern's " Medan klockan tickar " project that also explored how climate researchers deal with the emotional toll of their jobs.

Elina Eriksson  is an Associate Professor and Docent in Regenerative Design at KTH. Her research is often action-oriented and with a focus on how to make the future more tangible and actionable. She has also explored emotions, including dread, in her own teaching on sustainability.

Nina Wormbs  is professor in history of technology at KTH, active in the field of environmental humanities. She has studied how climate change is communicated in different fora and how individuals argue in relation to climate action. In 2024 and 2025 she and her colleague Maria Wolrath gave four stage shows, “ Omställningsont ”, on how to be human in the age of climate change.
