Want to learn more about artificial glaciers, blue economy and the production of marine biomass? KTH Climate Action Centre invites everyone to partake in our event together with Right livelihood! The event will be available both online and live at the Climate Action house, featuring talks from Rizgin Gurmet and Jean-Baptiste Thomas on the effects of climate change and water issues on agriculture.

Rizgin Gurmet from the Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG) will talk about the artificial glacier in Ladakh and how global warming is affecting the glacier and the farmers in the area.
Jean-Baptiste Thomas from Water Centre@KTH will talk about his work with water and marine issues linked to food production and agriculture, such as the role played by marine biomass (i.e. seaweed) in terms of nutrient loop closure and phosphorus security. His research aims to contribute to a resilient, sustainable and low carbon blue growth in the coming decades.
