Episode 5: Will Steffen

On this episode of Intervention we meet professor Will Steffen, the climate scientist who has been one of the leading proponents of the Anthropocene concept. Professor Steffen is the former director of the international Geosphere-Biosphere program in Stockholm and has been prominent in scientific and political debate over climate change in his home country of Australia and around the world. He has co-authored an array of articles together with historians and other scholars, including Paul Crutzen, which have helped situate the Anthropocene within both Earth and Human history. Intervention caught up with professor Steffen in November 2014 at the Anthropocene Curriculum event at the HKW in Berlin.
