In this dialogue seminar, we will discuss current climate politics in Sweden. What role does politics play in realising the climate goals? What are the largest concerns from students? You as a student are encouraged to ask questions and discuss during the seminar, but you can also send your questions in advance. The moderator will then bring up the question if relevant.

Rickard Nordin is the spokesperson for Climate and Energy Policy for the Centre Party (Centerpartiet) in Sweden, and member of the Swedish Parliament since 2011. He is also a commissioner in the Environmental Objectives Committee (Miljömålsberedningen), where all eight Swedish parties are represented to agree upon important environment and climate policies. He has been an active part behind the clime targets set for Sweden, both the one set in 2016 and also the ones just presented regarding consumption and exports, which is world leading. He has also negotiated the Energy agreement from 2016 and is the man behind the “Green tax deduction” (Grönt avdrag) for solar panels, energy storage and charging stations.

Vegan wraps and beverages will be served from 11:45 for those signing up to the event.
