The Promobilia MoveAbility Lab is a collaborative initiative between KTH Royal Institute of Technology and the Promobilia Foundation. The lab is made possible through long-term support from the foundation, whose mission is to promote research and innovation that enhance independence, participation, and quality of life for people with disabilities.

The inauguration of the Promobilia MoveAbility Lab on 12 March 2024 brought together representatives from the Promobilia Foundation, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as well as researchers and collaborative partners.

The initiative builds on Per Uddén’s vision that technology and innovation should expand people’s freedom and ability to live active lives. Through investments in research, research infrastructure, and interdisciplinary collaborations, we create the conditions for new discoveries and solutions that can improve mobility and make a meaningful difference in everyday life.

Through long-term investments in research, education, and technology development, the Promobilia MoveAbility Lab contributes to advancing the next generation of assistive technologies and rehabilitation solutions. Together with researchers, healthcare providers, users, and funding partners, we work towards a society where more people can live independent, active, and inclusive lives.
