Affiliated PhD Students to SSRS
The Swedish Space Research School (SSRS) offers the possibility for PhD students with space-related research to affiliate with the research school, even if they are not funded through SSRS.
Affiliation is intended to strengthen national collaboration, broaden participation, and enhance the overall impact of SSRS as a coordinated platform for doctoral education in space related fields.
What affiliation offers
Affiliated PhD students are invited to:

Participate in SSRS doctoral courses (subject to availability)

Attend workshops, conferences, and study visits organised by SSRS

Become part of a national network of PhD students, researchers, and industry partners in the Swedish space sector

Obtain proof of participation in SSRS after completion of activities
Requirements
To be eligible for affiliation, the PhD student should:

Be enrolled at a Swedish university or institute

Conduct research relevant to space science, space technology, or related areas
Conditions

Affiliation does not include funding from SSRS

The home organisation covers travel and accommodation costs
-
Participation in certain activities may be subject to availability and extra fees
How to apply
Applications for affiliation are submitted on a rolling basis. Main supervisor sends a short application including:

A brief description of the PhD project (max. 1 page)
