We are in a technology hype where AI has rapidly achieved global stardom with new generative capabilities. It is especially the large language models that impress with human-like synthetic text. The company OpenAI, which is behind ChatGPT, has a stated goal of building so-called artificial general intelligence (AGI), which means that AI can surpass human abilities in various fields. According to CEO Sam Altman, their system will thereby dramatically increase humanity's prosperity and drive economic growth to unimagined heights.
