Most of us walk around with ideas about what we can and can't do. "I'm not a natural leader." "You're either good at this or you're not." We see things that don't work, have suggestions that could improve the situation, but say nothing. Because it doesn't feel quite safe to stand out.
This seminar is about two things that can actually change the way your career develops. Growth Mindset: the idea that you are not stuck in who you are today Psychological Safety: how you create contexts where people dare to say what they think, ask questions and develop.
We draw on Carol Dweck's research on how static thinking causes us to avoid challenges and brush off criticism, while a more open approach allows us to use both to improve. You can test the difference yourself through interactive exercises.
We also look at why competent people keep quiet in meetings, not because they lack something to say, but because they don't feel confident enough to say it. Through concrete tools and experiments, you get ways to both work with your own mindset and create space where others actually dare to contribute. You leave with practical methods to stop protecting your self-image and instead focus on building skills that will take you further.
