The Beamtime Proposal

To help you write a good proposal we have made a downloadable generic template with some tips-and-tricks added inside. It gives a general picture of what a proposal could look and things to think about in order to maximize your chances of being awarded beamtime.

To start writing a proposal you first need to download the latest template from the source/facility you want to apply to. It is very important that you use/follow their template, otherwise it is possible your application will be disqualified without being reviewed. Most templates are rather similar and covers about 2–3 pages. To help you write a good proposal we have made a downloadable generic template with some tips-and-tricks added inside.

Please note that this is NOT an official template you can use for any facility/source. It is only made to show you a general picture how a proposal could look and a few things you should think about in order to maximize your chances of being awarded beamtime (in tough international competition).
