Attending the TMS2024 conference in Orlando
Members of SUNRISE attended the TMS2024 conference in Orlando, Florida.
During the week with both talks and posters on the exciting work done within SUNRISE Centre on Uranium Nitride (UN) nuclear fuel and steel alloys research and development.
Presenters:
-
Pär Olsson: Accelerated Nuclear Materials Qualification and the Swedish SUNRISE Programme.
-
Didier Bathellier: Effect of magnetic disorder on defect properties in Nikel using electronic structure calculations and machine learning interatomic potential.
Poster Presenters:
-
Elina Charatsidou:
1. Proton-irradiation induced cracking and microstructural defects in UN and (U,Zr)N composite fuels.
2. High temperature compressive creep tests of uranium mononitride using spark plasma sintering apparatus (poster by Faris B. Sweidan).
-
Fredrik Dehlin: Monte Carlo modelling of neutron irradiation displacement damage in uranium mononitride (UN) fuel when used in a small lead-cooled fast reactor.
-
Christopher Petersson: Slow strain rate testing of two alumina forming austhenitic alloys in liquid lead and lead-bismuth eutectic.
