Grading criteria/assessment criteria
The final grade for the course will be set based on the received P on ÖVN1 - i.g. approved assignment 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 and participation in the related seminars as well as participation during the presentation of assignment 1, 3, 4, and 8.
A maximum of 5 points will be given for Assignment 1, 4, and 8 resulting in a total score of 15 points. This grade is for INL1 and INL2 and is also the final grade of the course. The point levels for different final course grades are as follows:
Sum of Points | Grades |

14 | B |
13 | C |
12 | D |
11 | E |
10 or less | F |
Opportunity to complete the requirements via supplementary examination
Participants have the opportunity to provide supplementary work in order to complete learning objectives during and for a time after the course.
Opportunity to raise an approved grade via renewed examination
Participants have the opportunity to provide supplementary work in order to raise an approved grade some time after the course.
Reporting of exam results
Supplementary work that is submitted after the related assignment deadline will be corrected and reported into ladok after P1.

We make use of the “academic quarter” for lectures, not for final presenations of qualitative and quantitative analyses.
• Some sessions are mandatory. It is your own responsibility to make sure that you are able to attend these sessions.
• Grades in this course are set on an individual basis. In particular, if you work in a group and you are not sharing the workload in a balanced manner, then you must include in your hand-ins a detailed statement declaring how the work has been allocated between the members.
• Assignments can only be submitted in Canvas. Assignments sent by email will not be viewed.
• You will find administrative information needed in the document you are reading now and in Canvas, together with the schedule in the KTH schedule system. Contact Jens Hemphälä if you have additional questions.
• If you are a student in need of extra support or resources of any kind, you must notify us in advance, and you must do it by following the official procedure at KTH. Contact your coordinator or FUNKA for that. See the KTH website for more information.
• If you fail to hand in the mandatory assignments as stated above, or if your hand-ins do not qualify for marking, this may imply that you will need to attend a later course instead.
