Shaping the future of sustainable manufacturing? This is your next step. At KTH Royal Institute of Technology, you'll lead high-impact research at the intersection of machining science and real-world powertrain applications.

This postdoc position is a chance to turn academic insight into industrial solutions that matter. Your work will drive innovation in hard turning, high-speed milling and gear manufacturing: from mastering advanced 3D metrology techniques such as WLI and focus variation microscopy, to uncovering how machining parameters influence component performance.

The position is part of the pioneering Centre X initiative – a collaboration between KTH, Chalmers, Scania and Volvo – placing you in a world-class research environment in Stockholm with cutting-edge laboratories and international colleagues.

We’re looking for a motivated researcher with a PhD in Production or Mechanical Engineering, strong experience in surface characterisation, hands-on machining expertise and a genuine interest in collaborative, multidisciplinary work.
