Success for LUP at the Open Stockholm Award 2014

Published Jun 12, 2014

In the category ”Best Solution for Traffic and Accessibility”, LUP won first prize with the following motivation:
“The winning entry addresses a specific and substantial problem with loading zones. The app may also become very significant for all road users as the flow of traffic and distribution will improve while negative impact on the environment decreases.”

Team LUP: Eric Hörberg, Jakob Armö och Tom Evers

The winning app increases accessibility and eases the loading and unloading by indicating on a map the location of loading zones near a delivery address. The team behind LUP, Jacob Armö, Eric Hörberg and Tom Evers, are very happy to have won.

– This is recognition from the City of Stockholm that we have found a solution to a substantial problem and thereby improves Stockholm, says Jacob Armö.

On top of glory and fame, the winning team receives SEK 33 000 to invest in the continued development of the product and service.

You are one of the cases in Student Inc., how has that been useful to you?

– We have had great support, especially from Donnie (Lygonis, Business Coach, KTH Innovation, reds. note) who has given us great advice and always been available to answer our questions. The great atmosphere has naturally contributed to a good vibe and made us even more innovative.
