Annual report 2024–2025

During 2024–2025 we have continued to grow our network of climate action fellows at KTH, now encompassing over 100 researchers from across the university, and conducted projects spanning climate policy and economics, low-carbon technologies, local climate transitions, and the intersection of climate and digitalisation, covering both mitigation and adaptation.

During this period we have invited stakeholders and partners to dialogues and workshops, offered students opportunities to engage with research and policy for climate action, and hosted the City of Stockholm's scientific council for climate transition, supporting the city's goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2030. We have also laid the ground for enhanced collaboration and impact through the new Strategic Research Area Stockholm Centre for Climate Transition (ClimTrio), working alongside Stockholm University and Karolinska Institutet to combine our respective strengths. Within the Centre, we are developing a new research structure based on thematic areas, in collaboration with partners, societal actors, and students.
