A workshop hosted by the International Energy Agency (IEA) brought together for the first time approximately 80 professionals from leading organisations, dedicated to the mission of ensuring clean cooking for all. One of the participants was Francesco Fuso Nerini, Director of KTH Climate Action Centre.

In preparation for the upcoming IEA Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa, an ambitious workshop was held on March 8, gathering participants from mayor organisations working with solutions for clean cooking.

KTH Climate Action Centre Director, Francesco Fuso Nerini, attended the workshop. He says that the Clean Cooking in Africa summit promises to be an opportunity to make significant progress in the global effort towards clean cooking solutions.

”It's inspiring to see the IEA taking a leadership role in this crucial area, addressing one of the most pressing challenges for health, environment, and development worldwide,” he says.

Francesco Fuso Nerini emphasises that KTH Climate Action Centre is committed to continue working with the IEA and support the summit outcomes with insights and data-driven open access methods to support clean cooking for all.

”The insights and collaborations fostered during this workshop are sure to pave the way for impactful outcomes at the summit. I am excited for the next steps in this journey towards sustainable and accessible energy solutions for all,” he says.

The summit is hosted by Fatih Birol, Laura Cozzi and IEA colleagues.
