Country specific requirements

General requirements

If your degree was awarded in Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, or USA, your transcript of record must be sent directly from your university to University Admissions in Sweden.

Azerbaijan

In order to document your academic studies and results, you must submit an official transcript that have been issued by the government. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Bangladesh

Please note that college-issued mark sheet/result card/transcript will not be accepted.

Mark sheets/transcripts must be issued by the Registrar's Office or the Controller or Examinations Office at the university.

If the transcripts/mark sheets do not contain the names of the courses studied, a syllabus must be submitted. Transcripts/mark sheets where the courses are listed as “Paper1", “Paper2" are not sufficient.

Documents certified by the issuing institution must be issued through and certified by a representative of the Academic Registrar's Office, the Examinations Office, or equivalent of the institution. Certification from other staff members, such as faculty or college staff members, is not acceptable.

Belarus

In order to document your academic studies and results, you must submit an official transcript that have been issued by the government. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Bulgaria

All copies of your transcript of records must be officially stamped by the university and the education ministry. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

China

The documents should be in Chinese, and in officially certified translations.

France

Relevé de notes (academic transcripts) showing all subjects and examination results for each year of study are required (including transcripts from classes préparatoires).

Germany

Scheine/Studienbuch Lehrveranstaltungsnachweise will not be accepted in place of an academic transcript.

Great Britain

For applicants with Accredited Previous Learning, APL; the APL must be listed in transcripts of records or other relevant official certificates.

Hungary

If you choose to demonstrate proficiency in English by taking an ESOL Examination, the test report from ESOL must be submitted (the state accredited language examination certificate will not be accepted).

India

Please note that college-issued mark sheet/result card/transcript will not be accepted (unless they are from an autonomous Indian college).

Study results from the first years of post-secondary education must be submitted if they are required for continued studies, e.g. continuing to the second year of higher education after having completed post-secondary courses.

Iran

Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Ireland

For applicants with Accredited Previous Learning, APL; the APL must be listed in transcripts of records or other relevant official certificates.

Kazakhstan

You must submit officially certified transcript of records, issued by the government. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Kyrgyzstan

You must submit officially certified transcript of records have been issued by the government. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Nepal

Please note that college-issued mark sheet/result card/transcript will not be accepted.

Pakistan

Please note that college-issued mark sheet/result card/transcript will not be accepted unless they are countersigned by the Controller of examinations at the degree awarding university.

Each page of the transcripts must be attested by the HEC. The authenticity of qualifications will be verified with the HEC.

Please note that a faster verification process will be applied for academic documents certified by the HEC after February 2009. We therefore urge everyone with older attestations to arrange for new ones.

The qualification verification process takes time. It is therefore important that you apply early and ensure that your study documents are received by University Admissions in Sweden as early as possible. The later your documents are received, the less chance you have of being considered.

Russia

Taiwan

Official transcripts in English and in Chinese must be submitted, even if the university is able to provide transcripts in English.

Thailand

All copies of original documents must be certified as true copies of the original and therefore must be stamped and signed by the issuing institution, or a notary public.

Self-certified transcripts, including printouts or screenshots from self-service websites, are not acceptable. Transcripts of completed courses and grades should be provided in the original language, and translated. The translation must be completed by an officially authorized translator.

Turkmenistan
