Gunnar Jacks honorary doctor

Gunnar Jacks is conferred to honorary doctor of philosophy in recognition of him being a profound scientific resource for Åbo Akademi University.

Gunnar Jacks is professor emeritus of groundwater chemistry at the Division of Land and Water Resources Engineering at KTH. Jacks has profound knowledge in the field of global water supply and has over different periods worked in water supply projects abroad, above all in India and Bangladesh. Since 1996 Jacks has had ties to Åbo Akademi University, and in 2002-2006 he acted guest professor at the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy. With his versatile knowledge he has been a great resource for the research and tuition within environmental geological chemistry. In addition, he has been a prized teacher at CLL.
