The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm in cooperation with the Division of Land and Water Resources Engineering , KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the Council of the Baltic Sea States and Suecia Polonia Bro association invite you to a seminar on:

Water: Today’s Challenges and Future Solutions. Water and Wastewater Management in Sweden and Poland

”Water is not a commercial product like any other, but rather a heritage which must be protected, defended and treated as such”. From EU Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EG).

Water and wastewater management is one of the basic factors determining the sustainable development. The modernization of wastewater treatment plants and sewer systems contributes to a significant reduction of the amount of pollutants discharged to surface water. The aim of the seminar is to present Polish and Swedish efforts to improve the state of the Baltic Sea environment through effective wastewater treatment. The initiative reflects one of the priorities of the Polish Presidency in the Council of the Baltic Sea States related to the promotion of sustainable development in the Baltic Sea region.

Seminar language: English

Please confirm your attendance by 19 November to: Chris.Tancredi@cbss.org
