Applying for research funding from InspireLab

You can apply for funding from InspireLab for both larger and smaller projects that align with its mission and adhere to its guiding principles.

You can apply for funding from InspireLab for larger projects (up to 6,5 million SEK) as well as smaller projects (0.5–1,5 million SEK).

Guiding principles

InspireLab supports and drives projects and initiatives that:

  • Focus on women’s lived experiences from an intersectional perspective and aim to improve women’s conditions (or address a concrete gender equality issue).

  • Focus on technological development. We prioritise projects/initiatives with concrete practical relevance and applicability and welcome those with an innovative component.

  • Maintain the highest possible scientific quality.

  • Have a clear connection to KTH. We prioritise researchers active at KTH and encourage collaborations with other national and international universities as well as other sectors (industry, civil society, etc.).

  • Have a team composition and working culture that contribute to a more gender-equal KTH.

  • Larger projects should fund at least one PhD position and result in at least one dissertation.

  • Smaller projects may include pilot or pre-studies, the development of a practical application (potentially linked to KTH Innovation), or innovative methods/activities for disseminating research on gender and technology.
