The research pillars
The InspireLab agenda consists of three pillars with three sub-themes each. Moving forward we are committed to deepening the agenda by adding more projects within existing pillars/themes as well as expanding the agenda by adding a fourth pillar.
Pillar 1: Technologies to Prevent Gender‑Based Violence (GBV)

- Innovations addressing under‑researched areas such as menstrual health and endometriosis
Pillar 3: Technologies for Gender‑Inclusive Environments, Mobility, and Infrastructure
- Safe and inclusive urban architecture and public space design
- Gender‑inclusive vehicle engineering and transport systems (InspireLab project)
- Inclusive sensing, analytics, and data‑driven decision tools (InspireLab project)
Proposed Pillar 4: Technologies to Reduce the Income and Wealth Gender Gap
- Reduce bias in entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems
- Support equitable distribution of work, opportunities, and compensation
- Enable transparent and fair economic decision‑making
