Research support: Inspire LEGIT

Through our research support programme, Inspire LEGIT, InspireLab offers support to researchers who want to deepen their knowledge in applying a gender- and gender-equality perspective to technology development. This includes support in developing research applications in this field, whether for InspireLab or other funding bodies.

LEGIT stands for ”Leverage Gender Inclusive Technology”. The word ”legit” is also an informal abbreviation of ”legitimate” in English, meaning authentic, genuine, or reliable, often used to describe something credible or correct. Our Inspire LEGIT programme provides the opportunity to expand your knowledge in how applying a gender perspective in technology development may open up for new research questions, methodologies and research results.

Programme Structure

Inspire LEGIT consists of three days:

  • Day 1 takes place at KTH

  • Days 2 & 3 are held at a conference facility

Between Day 1 and Day 2 there is time for personal study and preparation.

  • The first half of Day 1 is a general introduction, open to all researchers.

  • The second half of Day 1, as well as Days 2 and 3, require an application, as spots are limited.

Upcoming Sessions

Currently, we are planning one Inspire LEGIT session in 2025 and two sessions in 2026.
