Course development
CK1295 Analytical Chemistry with Statistics 5.5 credits
On this page, you can track the course's development over time. Once the course analysis is published, data for each course offering is displayed, including the number of registered students, course results, and planned improvements for the next session. All course syllabuses and course memos are shown on the page Archive.
The information can help prospective, current, and former students with course selection, or to follow up on their own participation. Teachers, course coordinators, examiners, program directors, and others can use the page as a resource for course development.

Changes planned for the next course offering
Notably, this is a joined Analysis between CK1290 & CK1295 courses.
A number of changes discussed with the course committee are still being reviewed, taking into account the surveys but also firsthand feedback from the students. These changes/actions include:
GENERAL ASPECTS:
- Revise the credits assigned to each module.
- Unify the use of Forums and promote it.
- Coordinate with the Chemical Equilibrium course for certain aspects.
- Clarify the materials to be used in the exam.
- Rename seminar 4 to make it more appealing even more students that are not able to attend the teaching occasions.
KON1:
- We will discuss the option of lectures + exercises or separate occasions.
TEN1:
- Create even more stands alone materials.
- Include more references to the course bibliography in the slides rather than in a general way.
- More text in the slides.
- Revise the time dedicated to each concept in the electrochemistry lectures. Clarify that the perspective of the Nernst equation is different than that provided in the Chemical Equilibrium course.
- Revise the exercises related to chromatography and spectroscopy in terms of the steps/information provided to solve each of them.
- Only one forum for the entire module.
PRO1:
- Try to advance it in time as much as possible (this is also the opinion of the teachers).
- We will consider to omit the excursion (the samples can be directly provided for the pre-treatment labs).
- We will consider to omit the oral presentation (the students thinks that it is overwhelming and difficult that the required coordination is achieved).
- Better organization of the groups. The students appreciated to select the slots/groups for the practical labs but then, they would like to just receive the information in which reporting group they are, without explanations how this is performed.
LAB1
- A guidelines to complete the Risk Assessment will be prepared.
- The pre-quizzes will be revised.
