Förändringar som införs till nästa kursomgång
• We will reconsider the timing of Homework 2 (reading a research article and writing an essay) and may postpone it slightly to ensure that students have sufficient theoretical background before beginning the assignment.
• The most challenging assignment was Homework 1-2 on model-based anomaly detection. We will review its placement in the schedule to allow a few additional days for completion, and we plan to update the lecture notes with more numerical examples to clarify what the expected results should look like.
• We will consider shortening Module 1 on safety by one lecture, as most students have already taken a course in this area.
• We will evaluate the possibility of using group assignments for Homework 1 to facilitate faster grading.
• We will clarify on the course description webpage that the course relies on mathematical modeling as well as programming assignments (in MATLAB or Python/NumPy).
